Jamie Hatton was born and raised in Letcher County before he went off to college at the University of Kentucky in Lexington and then Law School in Louisville. Jamie moved back home to Letcher County on the same day he passed his last final exam. Coming back home was always the plan.
Jamie is active in the community and dedicated to the revitalization of Letcher County and Appalachia. He is the Letcher County Attorney a member of the Whitesburg Masonic Lodge and Oleika Shrine. He serves as the local counsel for many of the boards and commissions in Letcher County and is a volunteer and coach with the Letcher County Little League, youth football league, rec league basketball coach, and coaches in the youth golf league at Raven Rock. He is a member of the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church and served as an elder on the church council for 8 years.
Jamie is married to Julie Hatton, also from Letcher County, and has 2 wonderful children Anna Hatton and Eli Hatton.
